Stern Labs (SL) completed a multi-year test program to support the Bruce Power Major Component Replacement (MCR) Project.  The Feeder Coupling Seal Qualification Program required months of testing with thousands of testing cycles performed.  This program was completed using a test loop designed for temperatures up to 600⁰F and pressures up to 2500 PSIG.  Approximately 90 Gigabytes of data was collected and analyzed for this project.  SL increased its knowledge and abilities with this test program requiring the leak rate from the feeder coupling to be measured in milligrams of water per hour.  The actual testing was started just before the difficulties of Covid-19 struck Ontario and was completed despite the many adversities posed by the global pandemic.  SL engaged numerous local supply and manufacturing partners during this program.
