Stern Laboratories has a comprehensive quality assurance program in place to meet applicable requirements of various quality standards including 10CFR50 Appendix B, NQA-1, 10CFR part 21 and applicable elements of CSA N286-05, CSA Z299.2 and CSA N286.2 Clause 6.
The overall quality program is documented in manuals QM-1 (for NQA-1) and QM-2 (for CSA) which are supplemented by standard quality procedures for specific elements of the program. Various quality documents are generated for particular needs or customer contracts as required. Due to the experimental nature of the work, quality documents are usually specifically prepared for each contract. Stern is an approved supplier for many utilities, reactor and fuel designers and vendors, government agencies and other laboratories.
Stern Laboratories Inc. is certified by TSSA to manufacture pressure vessels and power piping in accordance with ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, Section VIII, Division 1, ASME B31.1 Power Piping and CSA Standard B-51, Boiler, Pressure Vessels and Pressure Piping Code.
